World Sport Chicago
World Sport Chicago is an independent, 501c(3) non-profit organization founded as the living legacy of the Chicago 2016 Olympic and Paralympic bid. In this role World Sport Chicago promotes the awareness of and involvement in Olympic and Paralympic sports to the youth of Chicago. World Sport Chicago seeks to grow a passion for sport and help Chicago children find the sport or sports that are right for them.
Through international events, demonstrations and clinics World Sport Chicago helps kids see and experience international sport at the highest competitive caliber. Youth are invited to take this experience further and participate in World Sport Chicago’s on-going sport programs. Developed in partnership with affiliates from across Chicago , the programs are designed to engage kids through sport by providing opportunities and life-lessons that will help them grow and achieve their dreams.
Action for Young Athletes in Chicago (AFYAC) - Hydration and Nutrition: Sports Medicine
Action for Young Athletes in Chicago (AFYAC) believes that participation in athletics keeps young students motivated to do well in school. It fosters an environment to learn leadership, discipline and good citizenship, despite socioeconomic barriers. With the help of volunteer physicians and residents, AFYAC supports athletic participation within Chicago Public Schools. Athletes benefit from free pre-season physicals, sports medicine clinics, mentorships as well as education on injury prevention and nutrition.
Chicago Children’s Museum - Preschool Ball Run
Beth Wilson develops and facilitates early learning programming for the Chicago Children’s Museum (CCM). Ms. Wilson holds a B.A. in elementary education and an M.S.Ed in curriculum and instruction with a specialty in early childhood and environmental education from Southern Illinois University (SIU). Prior to coming to CCM, she was the preschool master teacher at SIU’s Child Development Laboratories and the preschool program specialist for an early childhood company. www.chicagochildrensmuseum.org
Chicago Fire
Throughout their ten seasons, the Chicago Fire have proven to be a force in Major League Soccer. The Fire have always given fans something to cheer about, winning five domestic titles; four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups and an MLS Cup Championship. For their first nine years, the Chicago Fire were the nomadic club of Chicago sports, having moved twice; once from the old Soldier Field to Naperville's Cardinal Stadium in 2002, and then back to the lakefront and the renovated version of Soldier Field in fall of 2003. But the team's third move would be its last, as the Fire proudly called the Village of Bridgeview and the brand-new TOYOTA PARK their home beginning in June of 2006.

FIRST - Robots on FIRST Overdrive!
FIRST was founded in 1989 and is a not-for-profit public charity that designs accessible, innovative robotics programs motivating young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Mike Huxford is the sports medicine coordinator and head athletic trainer for the Institute for Sports Medicine at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Based on his extensive expertise, Mr. Huxford played a key role in the development of the two exercise protocols Training to Reduce Injuries in Athletic Kids (TRAK) and the Knee Injury Prevention Program (KIPP).
